Development in Squamish is at an all-time high right now with many new single family homes and condominium developments being built, not to mention much business and retail expansion occurring as well. This trend is expected to continue even after the 2010 Olympics.

In 2008 the development of the Squamish Waterfront is scheduled to begin, Highway 99 is currently being expanded from 3 to 4 lanes (scheduled to be completed by the 2010 Winter Olympic Games) and there are several new residential and commercial developments planned and/or underway.
